My
favorite place
The sun is blindingly bright
and scorching to your skin. You can feel a light, warm, gentle breeze, and the
water feels like a Jacuzzi. The smell of the salt air, sun block, and someone
barbecuing are all delightful to your senses. You get to listen to the waves
crashing on the shore, people playing in the water or maybe a game of volleyball. It is always fun to hear the seagulls
fighting over food especially when they sound like they are saying, “mine, mine,
mine” from “Finding Nemo”. The warm sand on your skin is soothing and feels
pleasant until you get wet and then it just sticks to all of you. Watching
people fly kites or play Frisbee is fun and entertaining. When you get in the
water and just lay on your back, let the waves rock you back and forth like a
baby in a cradle and dream away.

Even before scrolling down to the picture, I could tell that you were writing about the beach, even though you didn't directly state it. I especially like the last sentence, "When you get in the water and just lay on your back, let the waves rock you back and forth like a baby in a cradle and dream away." It sounds so whimsical! The picture is really pretty, too. Is your favorite place any beach, or is it one specific beach?
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I love how you described the beach...it's so beautiful. I love the part when you said “mine, mine, mine” from “Finding Nemo”..So awesome! Amazing blog!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Reading this made me vision everything very vividly. It really reminds me of my favorite place to go. I would love some time on the beach now! Very good blog.
ReplyDeleteI loved your description of the beach! It made me feel like I was back in California sitting on the sand and letting the waves carry me when i was swimming.
ReplyDeleteI love how I felt like I was there, you did a great job at imagery and really capturing the moment!
ReplyDeleteI liked the Finding Nemo reference, too. That's really amusing that you hear the birds squawking in that same way, as well, because that is an inside joke between my husband and I every time we hear the gulls. Great! I really enjoyed your description.
